midterm review

The feedback was helpful in that it helped me identify my weaknesses. There is good research and content but it has not been translated well into material forms. Further my prototypes seem to go around the subject and have not yet been able to voice what exactly I want to do. Things I need to do are becoming an expert at face reading and talking to more people and users about the subject. What I would have liked was further feedback and suggestions on potential prototypes or how the existing prototypes can be pushed further.

problem

One of the biggest challenges had been in deciding on the form and what to focus on. After thesis class discussion on Friday, the decision was made to focus on Chinese face reading because it covers both interest as well as practical reasons. As of now I am creating a website that will have an introduction narration and a component that allows the user to create faces of characters based on the Chinese face reading system. The details such as the type of content and functionality have not been worked out yet. One of the weaknesses right now is just thinking and not prototyping. Therefore, for this week and the following I will concentrate mainly on prototyping to see what will work and what doesn’t work.

Good NEN

I went to a temple in Tokyo.
It was cool too see all positive wishes written by people from all over.

Though what occurs after these wishes are not known, the concentration of these positive thinking (念 nen) perphaps have positive effects on this world.
People may pray and wish to releave themselves of anxieties and fears to approach life with a more positive attitude and confidence or come here to participate in a cultural tradition.

Can this similar collection of positve wishes be found online

Taiwanese TV program on ghost, reincarnation, and much more

開運鑑定團 is a Taiwanese TV program that discusses and investicates cultural practices, beliefs, and happenings such as deaths

Could not stop watching one series after another, even after getting chills.

Learned alot of new information such as other dimensional space besides the one people live in.

Unfortunately it is not in English.
If only all things and concepts where simplier and all in one language.
